We’ve come a long way since our humble beginning in 1960. Tutts was established as R. W. Tutt & Co Ltd in a small yard in Great Bookham by Jim & Iris Tutt and is still owned and run by Jim and Iris’s daughter Sue, her husband Arthur and their daughter Amy. A true family run business in our third generation and now operating from a large 800 sq./m premises in Curtis Road, Dorking.

You can watch your vehicle being worked on or MOT tested from our customer viewing areas if you would like to.
If you need alternative transport on the day of your booking we can offer you a courtesy car free of charge, as long as this is booked in advance.
We are members of the Retail Motor Industry Federation, Motor Codes and Trust My Garage and adhere to their strict codes of practice. You are also able to use their conciliation service free of charge in the unlikely event that you are unhappy with our service and we are unable to agree a resolution.
We are a DVSA rated GREEN MOT testing station, they use a traffic light system but unfortunately consumers are not made aware of this. We also choose to have annual MOT quality control checks carried out by the Retail Motor Industry Federation, to make sure that we are fully compliant.
We have and will continue to make huge investments in specialist tools and equipment to keep up to date with ever changing vehicle technology.

Our technicians are paid a nice healthy salary instead of being on a bonus scheme, which means there is absolutely no temptation to rush when working on your vehicle or to defect items that do not need attention.
Our equipment is calibrated regularly.

Generally the parts that we fit are guaranteed for either 12 or 24 months (although this differs for “wear” parts such as brakes). Your service advisor will be able to clarify any warranty queries for you.
